Master Key Security Boxes

Section 1

Any Building, except residential buildings of less than three dwelling units, which has a fire alarm or other fire protection system shall provide a key security box installed in a location accessible to the Fire Department in case of emergency. The key security box shall contain keys to the entry door(s), fire alarm control(s), and any other key(s) or information needed in case of emergency.

Section 2

The master key security box shall be a type approved by the Head of the Fire Department and shall be located and installed as approved by the Head of the Fire Department.

Section 3

Any building owner violating this by-law after receiving due notice from the Head of the Fire Department shall be subject to a fine as provided in these by-laws.
