Town of Rutland Request for Proposals for Property Tax Assessment Services

Fiscal Year 2015, 2016, 2017

The Town of Rutland invites all interested companies to submit sealed proposals for the fiscal year 2015, 2016 and 2017 update of Real and Personal Property within the corporate limits of the Town Of Rutland, as well as interim adjustments, triennial revaluation and all supporting reports and files to The Department of Revenue. Have a qualified associate assessor to sufficiently conduct tasks normally carried out by a Principal Assessor and oversee the day to day operations.

Proposals are to be submitted to the Board of Assessors, Community Hall, 250 Main Street, Rutland, and Ma 01543. Proposals will be accepted until noon, May 29 2014 at which time such proposals will be opened and read.

The program is to commence on or before July 1 2014.

The Town of Rutland reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, or to select a bidder whose proposal is not the lowest, as deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

Specifications for the proposed property assessment program may be obtained at the office of the Rutland Board of Assessors.

Questions regarding the specifics of the program should be directed to the Board of Assessors. The Board of Assessors urges interested appraisal companies to review the specifications and submit proposals providing for a comprehensive program in full compliance with the established guidelines of the Department of Revenue and the Massachusetts General Laws relating to the taxation of property.

The awarding of a contract by the Town shall be subject to the availability of funds.
