The Senior Center operates under the direction of the Council on Aging, providing programming, services, and resources to older adults and the elderly. Our mission is to help all mature adults socially connect in their community and be linked to all of the resources they need to maintain independence and to age in place. We are proud to be an age-friendly community organization.
Are you new to Rutland, or recently retired? Do you have extra time on your hands, or just want to enjoy the company of others? The Rutland Council on Aging is available to all seniors in the Town of Rutland. There are activities and/or events happening every day, Monday through Friday. We offer a variety of programs and activities for health, well-being, and social interaction. And of course, we have a lot of fun here! Come join us for a craft, exercise class, or just for morning coffee or lunch. We have a wonderful "Friends" group who support the Center with fabulous social events and programs. Our volunteers work together to provide the Center with a personal touch to every event and activity that takes place. We are also community-minded and give back in many ways. If you have not visited the Center, please stop by and see our new updates and what we have to offer. Hesitant to come alone? Ask a friend to join you. You will make new friends here too!
In addition to our daily activities, we are an outreach and referral Center for your health and wellness needs. We can help you with a diverse spectrum of support and assistance for many things that the aging population faces.
