Pursuant to the Town of Rutland’s Traffic Rules and Regulations, Article IV,
Section 2-e;

The Town of Rutland’s Winter Parking Ban goes into effect each year on November 1st  through April 1st.  It prohibits the parking of any motor vehicle on the street or sidewalk throughout the Town of Rutland overnight between 2:00 am and 6:00 am and during snow storms when a snow emergency has been declared regardless of time of day.

The purpose of the parking ban is to assist the Town of Rutland’s Department of Public Works with snow and ice removal operations. The Rutland Police Department has been charged with enforcing the winter parking ban.
