Part-Time Planning Board Administrative Secretary
The Town of Rutland Planning Board is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Secretary. This position is responsible for assisting the Planning Board and the Town Planner with all administrative responsibilities necessary for the proper functioning of the Planning Board, including but not limited to taking minutes and processing financial information. Qualified applicants must be available outside of regular office hours to attend board meetings. Qualified applicants should also have a knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel software, financial record keeping, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Applicants should possess a High School diploma, and at least two years of clerical experience, preferably in a municipal setting. Some
familiarity with a land use board is desired.
This position is part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per month. Starting rate is based on experience and qualifications.
