Finance Committee, Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen
The Town of Rutland is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Secretary for the Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen to perform general secretarial work under the supervision of the Town Administrator, and secretarial work for the Finance Committee under the supervision of the Finance Committee Chair.
Attends and takes minutes at all Finance Committee meetings, and transcribes the minutes for Finance Committee review and approval. Attends and takes minutes at Board of Selectmen meetings from time-to-time in the absence of the Administrative Secretary, and transcribes the minutes for Selectboard review and approval. Performs general secretarial support functions to assist the Town Administrator and Administrative Secretary in the day-to-day operation of the department. This non-benefited, part-time position is scheduled 4 afternoons per week for a total of 16 hours per week, plus additional hours as required to attend Finance Committee meetings. This position is an
OAD 3/1 with a starting hourly rate of $14.73.
Administrative support skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs desired. Associate’s Degree in business and/or several years of experience in a fast paced office environment, preferably in a municipal setting.
