Public Hearing

Under the provisions of Chapter 166 of General Laws and any additions thereto or amendments thereof, the Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to address a petition from National Grid and Verizon New England requesting permission to locate poles, wires, cables and fixtures, including the necessary anchors, guys and other such sustaining and protecting fixtures to be owned and used in common by your petitioners, along and across the following public way or ways:

Glenwood Place:

National Grid to install 7 JO Poles on Glenwood Place beginning at a point approximately 1525 feet Northwest of the centerline of the intersection of Glenwood Place and Glenwood Road and continuing approximately 128 feet in a Northwest direction.  National Grid to install pole 16-50 approximately 128 ft Northwest of pole 16 and 128 ft Southeast of pole 17; install pole 17-50 with anchor 110 ft Northwest of pole 17; install pole 18 approximately 110 ft Northwest of pole 17-50; install poe 19 approximately 77 ft Northwest of pole 18; National Grid to install pole 20 approximately 150 ft Northwest of Pole 19, install Pole 21 approximately 150 feet NW of Pole 20; install Pole 22 approximately 125 ft NW of Pole 21; & continue OH wires to Pole 23 which will be over the boundary of Glenwood Place on private property.  

                                                7 New JO Poles to be placed

Location approximately as shown on plan attached.

Wherefore it prays that after due notice and hearing as provided by law, it be granted a location for and permission to erect and maintain poles, wires and cables, together with anchors, guys and other such sustaining and protecting fixtures as they may find necessary, said poles to be erected substantially in accordance with the plan filed herewith marked:

Also for permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables and wires in the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as each of said petitioners may desire for distributing purposes.

Your petitioner agrees to reserve space for one cross-arm at a suitable point on each of said poles for the fire and police telephone and telegraph signal wires belonging to the municipality and used by it exclusively for municipal purposes.
