PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

RUTLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY
October 10, 2017

Under the provisions of Chapter 166 of General Laws and any additions thereto or amendments thereof, the Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to address a petition from National Grid requesting permission to locate poles, wires, cables and fixtures, including the necessary anchors, guys and other such sustaining and protecting fixtures to be owned and used in common by your petitioners, along and across the following public way or ways:

        Campbell Street: National Grid to install 1 JO Pole on Campbell Street beginning at a point approximately 612 feet northwest of the centerline of the intersection of Campbell St and Campbell Ct and continuing approximately 65 feet in a south direction.  National Grid to install jointly owned midspan pole 27-50 with anchor & guy wire, approximately 65 feet southeast of existing pole 28 on Campbell St from pole 27-50 to poles on private property.

Wherefore they pray that after due notice and hearing as provided by law, they be granted joint or identical locations for and permission to erect and maintain poles, wires and cables, together with anchors, guys and other such sustaining and protecting fixtures as they may find necessary, said poles to be erected substantially in accordance with the plan filed herewith marked:

Also for permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables and wires in the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as each of said petitioners may desire for distributing purposes.

Your petitioner agrees to reserve space for one cross-arm at a suitable point on each of said poles for the fire and police telephone and telegraph signal wires belonging to the municipality and used by it exclusively for municipal purposes.
